Mallorca's cultural life is far richer than it looks from the outside, but it is scattered. Every theatre posts its programme on its own site, every museum in its newsletter, every music venue on social media, and a good share of the village festivals appear only on paper posters or in municipal PDFs that nobody indexes. Finding out what is on across the island on any given Saturday means visiting twenty different places.

Kulturoteka exists to save that work. We gather the scattered information, normalise it — dates, times, locations, prices, categories — and publish it as a single guide you can browse by day, by category, by town or by venue.

We are not a magazine and not a ticketing platform. We are an index: the starting point from which to reach the actual organiser.

Kulturoteka is made by a small, independent editorial team of people who live in Mallorca and follow the island's cultural scene closely. We go to the concerts, the exhibitions and the village festivals that later appear in the guide: the selection comes out of that legwork, not only out of what lands in our inbox.

We are not affiliated with any public institution, foundation, venue or promoter, and we receive no funding from any of the venues listed in our Mallorca cultural guide.

That independence is deliberate: no event appears, rises or falls in the listings because someone paid. Ordering follows editorial judgement and how soon an event is happening — never commercial arrangements. When we highlight a concert in Palma or an exhibition at Es Baluard, it is because we think it is worth your evening, and for no other reason.

We collect from public sources, always crediting and linking the origin on each listing:

Every event keeps the link to its official source. Where tickets exist, the booking link goes straight to the organiser or their distributor: we sell nothing and take no commission.

Extraction is automated, but not naive. The principle governing it is that when in doubt we drop the record — we never guess.

We still get things wrong. A date changed at the last minute, a stale price, a cancellation that never reaches us — these happen. That is why we always recommend confirming with the official source before travelling, and why every listing carries a link to report an error.

To avoid any misunderstanding:

If you need something resolved about a specific event, the organiser is always the party to contact.

Kulturoteka is free and has no paywall. It is funded by advertising and by a newsletter you are free to subscribe to.

Advertising is always labelled as such and never mixed into the guide's results: an ad is never a featured event, and a featured event is never an ad.

If you are an organiser, run a venue, or have simply spotted something wrong, write to us. Corrections that reach us are applied by hand, and they tend to be what improves the guide most.
